RDBMS systems such as SQL Server have a nifty thing called 'tables'

the syntax is something like . . .
quote:

CREATE TABLE
[
database_name.[owner].
| owner.
] table_name
(
{ <column_definition>
| column_name AS computed_column_expression
| <table_constraint>
} [,...n]
)
[ON {filegroup | DEFAULT} ]
[TEXTIMAGE_ON {filegroup | DEFAULT} ]

--SQL Server 7, Books on Line

An array is a iterative construct where sql is a set based language.
