How do you escape square brackets when posting?
I want to tell this poster to use the code tags to post tabular data to make it easier to discern where data for one column ends and data for the next begins.
For the life of me, I can't figure out how to make it display a left square bracket followed by the word "code" followed by a right square bracket.

The trick I learned was to enclose the first bracket in a color tag:
If you reply with quote you'll see the markup. |

I use [C0DE] (it is a zero instead of the big O)
No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |

Ha! Would have never figured that. Thanks Rob.
Fred, I think I will go with the color thing. Zero is nice, but I wouldn't misunderestimate(*) people's ability to copy that exactly as it is and use it with the zero in place.
(*) Yeah, yeah, I know. But I like that expression. It conveys the meaning so effectively and succinctly, just like a piece of well-written SQL query. |

It is VERY politically charged though, so I would be very careful using it! I used it here only because I felt confident enough that both Rob and Fred are people who would not take offense regardless of their political persuasions. |

Misunderestimate? How is that political? I might complain about poor English, but only if I'm in a really bad mood already. |

Is it because this that you say its politically charged?

But I honestly like that word. It is an amalgamation of miscalculate, underestimate and many other subtle thoughts. There is nothing that comes close to the expressiveness of misunderestimate! Just like there is no equivalent in English language for "Schadenfreude"
Even though I am a non-political person, I have been trained well by my colleagues - all of them are staunchly on one side of the political spectrum. I won't say which side |

What is special about spoiler? Is that a keyword? I tried [SunitaIsTheBest][[/SunitaIsTheBest]
That didn't work. May be it is my conjecture that is wrong. |

In Madhi's solution there is closing ] missing and because of this the[
isn't parsed. The SPOILER is used to hide the opening bracket.
