Hi Experts,

As soon as I am trying to open my SSMS it is closing, what might be the reason for this? I am using SQL Server 2008R2 on windows 2003R2.

Please let me know what I need to do and Im not able to check the error in SQL error logs as I am not able to open SSMS, but I found an error in event viewer. Please look into that so that you can get an idea.

Faulting application ssms.exe, version 2009.100.1600.1, stamp 4bb679e7, faulting module mscorwks.dll, version 2.0.50727.3053, stamp 4889dc18, debug? 0, fault address 0x00029333.

Thank you all in advance.

Did you recently install something that plugs into SSMS? What happens when you disable antivirus or log in as a different user? You'll probably want to reinstall SQL Server.
