Hi,

I dont see a forum for Sql Server CE...so I will try posting it here. If there is a forum for CE...please let me know.

I am looking for a CE admin tool for a remote CE DB. The DB is on a shared host so I have little control bar accessing the actual DB ie i can not install applications on the remote host. So I am looking for a remote/web tool which will allow me to alter the tables through a GUI and do a remote backup. Ideally if there is a free 3rd part tool which does this.

Most of the tools I can find are for local DBs...thanks for any help.

Hi,

Thanks for response. Sql Management studio doesnt support CE 4.0 which i am using...it does support previous versions of CE. Based on my online research I dont think its expected to support CE 4.0.

Also my question was to find an admin tool which could connect to a remote shared web host and access the CE DB there...im not sure that management studio does this...as far as i can see it only accesses local DBs.

Anyone else familar with CE particularly on remote web access?
