i want to group my products and projects in my accounting software that every group may contain some other groups and some products for unknown depth.

Is is NOT clear what you want to achieve!!
Are you on the stage of Modeling your Logical design? or designing Entity relation diagram. Tells us more about the scenario if you need help.

well, it will be hard for me to provide you with a good example because you never provided any scenario (example).Anyways, it sounds to me like you have Parent <> Child on the Tree model you provided.

may give you an idea of how you can reference a Child attribute to its parent attribute.
Keep in mind the heritage concept while modeling you data (maybe specific to your case)
