I have a sql 2008 server using trans replication to a reporting server one way.

My question is if I want to restore a copy (with different name) of the publisher database from backup of the live replicated database to the same server,will this stop my current replication process ?

if so how do I get round this problem.

If you restore it as a new name, then no it won't affect your current replication process.
