Hello,
I have the following:
SITE A Server_A_Old (2005) Server_A_New (2008)
SITE B1 Server_B1 (2005)
SITE B2 Server_B2 (2005)
Right now, only Old_Server_A is active, contains a production DB of ~ 70 GB and serves the users on all three sites.
We want to re-establish the merge replication (data is generated on all three sites). There is decent network connection between A and B1, and between B1 and B2, but pretty poor one between A and B2.
What is the simplest way to create a replication where B1 is the publisher for both B2 and A_new? Backup/restore or detach/attach of A_old to B1 might be critical, because of downtime window needed to transfer 70 GB.
Thanks for any ideas!
