Can't get report manager working

Can't get report manager working

I'm very new to SSRS and having a problem right form the start.

I have run reporting services configuration manager > Databases option on the left hand side. Filled everything out there and no error messages

When I click the link for my rs report manager IT won't open

Sql version I'm running is 2012 - error given in I.E below - any ideas where to start looking? - thanks

The website cannot display the page

HTTP 500

Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

What you can try:

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

have you configured the report server?

I thought I had by doing the above, literally just getting into SSRS - can you clarify what you mean?

go to reporting services configuration manager and see if you've services running and url setup

Thanks,

yes, the service was running and a url there - it's clicking that url I got the above error message. It also prompts me to login before I got that error.
