This is my first post here and am glad to be part of this community. I am a complete and utterly green newbi at MySQL. Where do I start. I downloaded a MySQL 5.5 command promp but that's all so far. And none of the videos on youtube seem to be any help because they don't usally use a command promp but graphical icons. 1. whats the best book for beginners? 2.How do I improve my skills? I am determined beyond words. Thanks for all your help. |

This forum is for Microsoft SQL Server; so not very many people here with expertise on MySQL. You might look for a MySQL forum or a generalized SQL forum.BUT, you can always download the free version of Microsoft SQL Server from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062Download the Express With Tools version or Express with Advanced Services version. In my completely biased opinion, SQL Server is way better than MySQL, more popular, has a more supportive community, and has better job opportunities. So come over and people on this forum would love to welcome you with open arms!! |
