Hi,

will restart the server cause problem if it is in recovering?

I checked both mdf and lof has space and last tlog backup did not go through. then it is in recovering.

Ok, restart came to rescue one more time.

Now down to the path chasing the root cause for the tailspin...

You should wait till recovery process get completed. There are multiple reasons behind this issue. Please check this post for more detail: http://data-base-recovery.blogspot.com/2012/07/is-your-sql-database-showing-in.html

Also,please run the database consistency check on the database after server restart.just to make sure if everything is right.
