For representing a tree in SQL Server, there are various ways - one is to use the hierarchyid data type described here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb677290.aspx There are some examples of representing an organizational hierarchical structure (managers and subordinates) as well on one of the links from that page (although I couldn't find it right now when I searched for it).

As for representing it graphically in a web page, this is the wrong forum to ask that question. However, I would point you to HTML5 Canvas http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/hh534406.aspx
