After creating measure in my SQL Server 2012 SSAS tabular model, the values intermittently disappear. I.e. in the measure grid, the values for all my measures just disappear. Occasionally reopening the project has brought them back, but currently this is not working. Very frustrating..

hmm...not something I've seen so far. Whats the version you're using? when does the disappearing occur?

The server data tools runs under visual studio 2010 10.0.40219.1 SP1

It seems to happen randomly, I'm not aware of anything in particular that triggers it. Ive tried recreating the measures and re-process the model.

Also I recreated one model from scratch and saved this (with the measure values still working), then opened this on another computer, connected and processed the model, and the measure values have again disappeared.

However I have had the issue occur on both computers I use.

Update on this: I have found this can occur if a measure is entered with an error such as M:=DATEVALUE("13/13/2012") - instead of showing an error all the values for ALL the measures just dissapear but no error shown. I have managed to get them back by deleting the measure - (just fixing the error does not work) save , close and re open the model file. This has at least worked today cant say if always will work. Surprised no other reports of this it has been happening for me since day 1 of using tabular models.
