Hi SQL Gurus,
We need technical info as to what are the changes in 2012 that will affect the existing code and how to resolve them. I would appreciate, if anyone can share the information.

Thanks,
Suri

You should run the upgrade advisor - see here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144256.aspx

That of course, would not cover anything that is outside of the SQL world, such as ad-hoc queries some programmer may have incorporated into his/her code. For such things, you should look up the discontinued features list here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144262.aspx

Microsoft has a lot of resources to help you upgrade. Wander around through MSDN.

We are currently on Pre SQL server 2012 servers and planning to Migrate to SQL Server 2012. Does anyone have a plan/approach document, Risk analysis documents to convert to SQL Server 2012.

Thanks,
Suri
