Hi All,

I am new to SQL SERVER. We have configured daily full backup on our sql server, but the transaction log file size is growing day by day...it there any way to automate transaction log deletion policy after we run our full backup as thy were no longer needed...

Also If we configure transaction log backup using maintenance wizard does it automatically delete original transaction logs after backing them up..

As we have maintenance cleaning tasks for clearing backup files and tx log files after certain days is there anything like tht to clear tx logs automatically..

You do not need to automate "transaction log deletion". You need to either setup a transaction backup job and run it regularly such as every 15 minutes, or you need to change your recovery model to SIMPLE.
