Sarat writes "Hi there-

I am trying to implement Log Shipping on my production and a stand by server. When I do that, when the log on the primary server is kind of big (12 GB), the backup on the primary is working fine but the copy is failing. Restore on the secondary says, it is successful but this is because there is no file copied to the secondary. An help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Sarat"

I configured our servers by backing up the production database. Taking it offline. Restoring the backup to the standby, in standby maode, and then setting up log shipping on production without initialising the database, as they were both exactly the same.
Then all it did was copy over the trans logs, they range from 10 to 80Mb in size, and this is over a WAN.
