My employer is building an ERP in-house using SQL and we are looking to make our DB/s internet accessible and we'd also like to encrypt the traffic. I've seen some forum posts about the whole port forwarding deal and that shouldn't be a problem but the encrypting of the traffic is a whole other ball game. Not sure if that requires a CA at the very minimum or if there's an easier way to do this. Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.
