I grew up with Sybase SQL Server before migrating to Microsoft SQL Server. Sybase SQL Server had a stored proc called sp_thresholdaction that would call a dump tran and live would go on merrily. How does a Microsoft SQL Server DBA programmatically deal with a transaction log filling up?
