Mauve???? I always thought it was Red, you know like stop lights, they go red and everyone goes faster.

First of all, it all depends what they're trying to do
Second, if he is building an app, a developer would just code the sql calls in the front end
Third, If they were a dba, they would know this answer already (if they're building an app)
Fourth, if it was production, I wouldn't have access to it, unless I create a dml script and throw it over the wall to the prod dba's, so in that case a sproc might not be very useful or the most time effecient....depending on the platform
I don't even know if they're talking about sql server

P-Bot had a little quirk in working code this morning. The bug was hopefully fixed. K-Bot is performing extensive tests. thank you for your cooperation.

Good Idea Spirit! I'm starting with that policy now 
I thought perhaps the forum should use Data Warehousing design with the posts as a slowly changing dimension, allowing access to the history of all of the posts, thereby allowing moderators to recover any of these deleted parts
