There is zero chance that isn’t a class project; all the data listed was about database books.
That whole thread is just one absurd lie after another.

The way I read it is that's a list of books he has or has access to, not sample data.

I really don't care, I helped the guy purely for entertainment purposes and the fact that he actually came around after a while was surprising but great. The guy asked for which books to start off with and this tells me that he's really willing to learn...

Makes you want to propose something like:
delete emp where salary = (select max(salary) from emp)
SELECT TOP 1 salary FROM emp ORDER BY salary desc
In theory, it returns the result he asked for, right?

Their problem is probably something else entirely, like the DB is actually in Full recovery mode.

This kind of people worries me. They are the one who probably will work with databases in the future and maybe even on a bank company where I keep my money. And the poor guy can't even read properly...

| I'm currently trying to persuade him over at DBF that the use of dynamic cursors should not actually be included as part of a technical specification. I think I'm the only one left over there that will deal with him, and that's only because I keep forgetting just how painful an experience it is. |
