I am running DBCC CHECKDB 'xyz' and using tempdb database space.

when it is running consume 40 GB space in tempdb database.

After finishing this dbcc checkdb command still 40 GB is ocupoied i.e I mean it is not released 40 GB.

How can I release this 40 GB space from temdb database??

Which command is used to release this so that I will get 40 gb space in tempdb.

Pl help me.

Did you try shrinking the database? However shrinking the database is a temporary solution, it will grow back again when you run the same transaction.
