Hello, I am looking for the x64 install for SQL Server 2005 enterprise edition - I already have a license and the x86 install disks. Can anyone supply a DVD or download or tell me where I can get this? I have already asked Microsoft but their reply was they can't supply because it is discontinued.

Thanks.

tell us why you want to install 2005 instead of a current, supported release.

Because we only have a license for 2005 and it costs circa £20,000 - obviously we would love to run the latest version but have not got the money to purchase another license.

ok, so why is your 32-bit version not good enough? Why do you want to install a 64-bit version?

If I can't get 64-bit then we will have to stick with the 32-bit, however the 64-bit handles memory better. Currently we have 32-bit 2003 o/s installed but will be upgrading to 2008 or 2012 x64

Definitely 64-bit is the way to go, but we can't help you. It would be illegal for us to provide the software. Since you do own the license, Microsoft has to provide the software to you. I'm not sure who you asked already, but you need to try again.
