Over the next few days we are going to start the migration to a new forum application. I'm going to start with high post count and active users. You may receive an invitation to the new forums. It's not spam. It's just me trying to seed the user base. My goal is to open it up over the weekend.

Once we open the site we'll block registrations here. We should be open shortly on the new site.

Sounds excellent Graz. Bound to be some feedback, disgruntled users, annoyances ... I'll form a queue shall I?

Hope you've taken some time off ... or maybe jetted far FAR away?

Should I create a new account or use the existing one for SQLTeam? I am not able to login to http://forums.sqlteam.com/

If you use the same email address as here, and do a "Lost password" (i.e on the new site), then you should be able to create a new password but retain your existing "madhivanan" UserID account

New site password min length is 8 char (which is longer than here I think)

If not then I reckon that the import of your User ID has failed. I think safe to create a new user on new site with your original UserID (I think any subsequent merge of threads etc. would still work)

Hmmm ... I checked your Member Page on new site and your account is valid, but it already has an Avatar for you, I don't suppose it got that by itself! so either you already logged in OK via the above, or you have created a new account with your original UserID.

But you didn't send any messages as yet ....
