Please help me understand how the Log Shipping Transaction logs interact with the regular Transaction Log Backup Job I have. I back up logs every hour. When I started log shipping, it seems two transaction log backup jobs are running at the same time> Should I disable one of them? A bit confused here, as I looked on the destination server and all but one of the LS jobs were failing>

You need to disable your log backups. ALL log backups must be applied to the secondary LS server. Log shipping has no idea you are also doing backups, so it's not copying them or restoring them. Let LS handle the backups.

Any log backups are what creates the transaction log chain. The entire chain, from the full or full+diff starting point, must be applied to the secondary. There can be no gap, or LS will start failing. You can get it back in sync by manually restoring them (with norecovery or standby).
