Hey all!

I am currently the webmaster at the company that I work at and have dabbled with a bit of PHP & MySQL as well as a little .NET... Anyway our current dba shall be leaving in a year or so, so my company sent me on a Querying SQL Server using Transact SQL microsoft course, I passed and next month shall be on the administrators course... So just to say I think SQL is very interesting and im looking forward to meeting you all on the boards when I get stuck!

Thanks...
Barry

That's some planning "Anyway our current dba shall be leaving in a year or so,"....the nearest we get to that time frame is the odd pregnancy.....which naturally doesn't extend to that length.

I'd say in the commercial world....."tomorrow" is often the most notice some organisations get/give. Good luck with the knowledge search.

Oh, and btw, you'll learn more here than you will in any "class"

Just don't google "merkin"...that's learning far too much.....

Well, the normal pregnancy doesn't go that long, but the odd ones might.

it depends on a perspecitve...
from a capitalist perspective is ok.
from moral perspective it's not ok.

:))))))

one year head up start on leaving is only if he's retiring..... :))))
