I'd start with understanding DBCC LOG. But seriously, go buy some books and start reading. I highly recommend the Inside SQL Server 2005 series.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |

I would like to learn more about SQL servers. Do you recommend me to take some classes or you think buying good books would be sufficient? I just don't know where to go and if these training centers are any better. Thanks, Xavico |

The training centers suck. They only give you enough knowledge to pass the certification exams.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/ |

I'll chime in with my broken record saying, that if you actually want to have a solid foundation in understanding data, then you should read: An Introduction to Database Systems by C.J. Date. |
