I have read http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327518/en-us for hot spare disk. Does hot spare configuration create any problem with SQL / windows cluster. Any practical tips appreciated .

I've not heard of any problems. Why do you think there is a danger of it causing any problems?

Sorry I posted the wrong KB article . The one that i referred is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/296799 .

On careful readnig I understand it talks about the hot spare node in a large cluster pool whereas my question is with respect to hot spare disk . Do I need to take care off any thing special for configuring hot spare disk from cluster point of view .

No. In fact, it makes you recovery disk failure much faster.
