SQL 2005 databases cannot be attached to a SQL 2000 instance. Backups of a SQL 2005 database cannot be restored on SQL 2000.

You will have to, as SoDeep suggested, script the database out and bcp the data out. Apply the script on a SQL 2000 server then import all the data

Copy all the data out line by line into an Excel spreadsheet, then create an input screen and put it all back in to your 2000 database.

Hopefully that is exshpurt enough for you.

funketun -- if you post "experts only" one more time, I am going to discuss this with the other moderators and we'll probably lock your account. It's rude, it's not funny, enough is enough.

Do as RickD has said? you won't miss any data.

"Copy all the data out line by line into an Excel spreadsheet, then create an input screen and put it all back in to your 2000 database.
" Classic one.
