I have a 2005 SQL SERVER db. I'm trying to export it to a 2000 db. I delete all the tables in the 2000 db then try to run an export from Management Studio 2005 and the tables go over fine, but no PK field is defined, no already-defined identity seed, etc...

Export/Import doesn't take care of Identity and Contraints. you have to manually apply.

As I know you should not be able to go from higher version to lower version, But you always can go to Lower to Higher version.

i ended up generated a script in 2005 for all my tables, pk's, etc...

then i ran it in 2000 and it created it

then i exported the data from 2005 to access, then imported the access tables to 2000

then i recreated the diagram from scratch

seems to be working

what a pain!
