when i try to delete my mdf/ldf files I get the message that "it is being used by another person or program."

sql server enterprise manager is closed.

i assume it's probably the resident mssql server process. is there anyway to delete the files without stopping this process (because other websites are using db's on this server)?

thanks!

You have to drop the database that those files are for.

Be sure that is what you want; when you drop a database, it is gone. It is a good idea to make a backup of the database before you drop it, just in case.
