Hi

Can't find our SQL Server 2005 installation CD so I downloaded an evaluation version from MS website and installed it. It's working now but I have two questions:

1. Is there any different from this eval version to the standard CD version? Can I use this in production with a real product key?

2. How to put in the real product key now?

Thanks
Jirong

Donot put Eval edition of SQL server 2005 for production. It is 60days trial version. You need to get licensing according to your business requirements. For ex: Developer edition comes in 50 bucks and you can't use it in Production Server.

Check this out and find what your company needs:

Thanks for your reply.

I mean I have the real enterprise edition key. Just can't find the origianl installation CD. My question is: I installed with evaluation version, can I just plug in the enterprise key to make the installation as production?

If you have Enterprise edition key why not to use that. There are lot of fearures which are not avialable in Evaluation edition
