Hi all,

Happy New Year!!!

I'm getting the below error message in SQL Server Management Studio, when I right click on any table in all the databases in that server.

'The directory name is invalid. (mscorlib)'.

I'm able to open the table from the SQL server client, it gives me this error only on the server.

Please give your thoughts to resolve this problem.

THanks.

I agree that something did not go properly with the install as this is the MS Core Library and not a user created directory.

Check your install or error logs? Verify file paths perhaps?

Shouldn't there be a warning message saying "Computer must be restarted" somewhere?

Thanks for your replies..

I dont see any warning message, but I've asked our admin to look into the issue and he is going to reboot the server if necessary..

Did you check error log or Event Log for it?
