I moved my old DTS package to a new server and it now returns the following message "error opening datafile...". I can execute it manually without errors, but the scheduling fails. The owner of this package has sys admin rights, I am using UNC to connect to the file source.
Has anyone run across this?

Most likely SQLAgent Service account doesn't have the rights to the network share where the file is located.

You may want to try adding a package user and a package password. Sometimes this helps bypass the SQL Agent rights
