| I have an SQL server under windows 2000 that is configured with AS400 under the User/System ODBC .... A data pump between AS/400 and SQL server takes about 4 seconds to open ... which is great BUT ....when i use my laptop and register the Sql server (above) and try and open the data pump (same one above) it takes about 5 to 7 minutes to open ... every time - this is very frustrating.any tips on how to speed this up or what might be causing this.also is there anyway way i can dynamically show the sql query that a datapump holds as a text box when you open a DTS. So that i don't have to always go into the data-pump to see what the query does .... especially in my case where opening the pump takes forever !! thanks. |
