Hi I'm currently working on sql server 2005 and SSRS for reporting. I need to know how cubes are implemented in sql server 2005. what i expect to know is like what are the best components and techniques for this purpose. is sql server 2005 is enough for it or will i be needing some 3rd party component for it, i'm thinking of implementing it in web and desktop both. n in how can i do this. any help in this regard will be highly appriciated. you can use sql server analysis services for creating/ deploying of cubes. the data can be viewed using browser in sql management studio or using application like proclarity. For generating reports, you can use SSRS itself using an analysis server datasource which connects to cube |
