Does anybody know what does mean this?

"must have a log backup with the truncate option 12 hours after the full backup"

I know how to create full and log backups, but I am not sure what does mean this truncate.

Where did you see that quote? It doesn't make sense.

You shouldn't be truncating the log! If you need to do that, then something is flawed in your environment.
