I was wondering about the free edition of SQL Server - what does that leave out compared to the paid versions? I was going to give it a whirl on my home machine, but if I can't experiment with stored procedures, triggers, and some of the more advanced stuff, I don't know if I would bother. I mean, is it just another glorified Access backend?Furthermore, will that drag down my system significantly - and if so, is it easy to start and stop the service?Duane |

I would always buy the developer edition, costs about 50 Euro and runs fine on my home machine. No, you're never too old to Yak'n'Roll if you're too young to die. |
