Will the spam bring down the site ?
Twice today, i can't access to the forums for couple of minutes.
For the first time it happen, i was able to access it after few mins. When i was first able to access it, i can't login. The LOGIN button is gone. But after times of referesh, the login button came back and that's when i saw this http://www.sqlteam.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=173594 and nuked it
The second time it happen, even though i can access the site, the LOGIN button is not available for hours. And during this period, i can see acid_bratt spamming and there is nothing i can do

I saw pretty much the same behavior when you saw it - the formatting of the page was funny, couldn't login, and there were a whole lot of spam messages trying to sell you everything from age-reversing creams to condos in the Bahamas, all posted by Mr. Acid Bratt.
Seemed like there was more to it than a spammer bringing down the site. I got the distinct feeling that someone had hijacked the site and that certain someone was watching me as I was trying to type in my username and password. |

the problem was far more worse than that. If you clicked certain links in a specific order, you could actually change password for
the owner of this forum.
