Team,My Transaction log have failed with error mess as followsSQL Backup failed with exit code: 1010 SQL error code: 4214 [SQLSTATE 42000] (Error 50000). The step failed. |

SQL ERROR 4214 - NO CURRENT DATABASE BACKUPWere you trying to backup the transaction log ??Seems to suggest that there is no valid database backup and therefore will not let you backup the transaction log until a valid database backup has been performed. |

So either someone has switched the DB to simple recovery and back to full or has run an explicit TRUNCATE LOG command. Either way, the log backups will only start working after a full backup is taken--Gail ShawSQL Server MVP |
