| I received a request today to create a separate instance in SQL 2005 Express, There is already a default instance setup and working properly. When I go through the setup and complete the setup I receive the following error "An installation package for the product Microsoft SQL Server Native client cannot be found. Try the installation again using a valid copy of the installation package 'sqlncli_x64.msi'."After doing some looking online I have come across a possible fix of uninstalling the SQL Native Client then re-run the SQL Server setup again. My concern is what effect will this have on the already existing instance? I have no exp with SQL hence the handle. |
