For me this time it is Argentina that to because of the current form of Messi and Milito nothing else.
England,France and Italy to seems be a very strong contender.
What do you guys think?

May I ask you why it will be Germany except for the fact that you are a German?

England?!?! Are you sure about that one? I heard in their 2-1 "thrashing" of Japan they scored precisely no goals - cue lots of excuses from the various footy pundits

Forgive me for being ignorant on the subject but how do you get 2 points without a goal?

2 own goals were scored by Japan -- both deflections.

I actually watched a British team win something this weekend. It was nice to see and it was hard fought, but Hamilton & Button deserved their places in the McLaren..

No difference if they where up to 14 men.
Our boys have played a very fine stile.

Germany did look very good. Klose could have had a hat trick and I don't think you are missing Ballack, though he does play better for Germany than he did for Chelsea.

I think I still enjoyed watching the Argentina / Nigeria game more. That should not have been 1 - 0 but Nigeria's keeper had an amazing game.

Best of luck Webfred. My team (Scotland) isn't in it (as always) but no sour grapes for me and I think Germany's got a good chance to win.

Can 1-1 be called as defeat?
