Hi,

We have sql server 2000. In that first we configured on test instacnce in the name of TEST and after our testing we formated our server and newly put the sql server with the same instalnce name. Now in ODBC when we try to create a connection its shows two sql server with the same name TEST. how can I delete the duplicate one?

Thanks,

Hi
When you open the ODBC Data Source Administrator , do you see the 2 instances listed under User DSN or System DSN?Or is it appearing , when you are on the "Create New Data Source to SQL server"?If it is the second option, I want you to go to the SQL Server Client Network Utility (which is found as an option on the toolbar ) , open the SQL Client Network Utility, and post back how many records there are under the Alias tab.
