While browsing network neighborhood the Net Admin noticed 2 shares that he doesnt recall and I also do not recall ever seeing before. The share names are: DATA and NETLOGON.

Does anyone know about these? If yes, Where did they come from? Hopefully MS software is not setting up shares...

Any help is greatly thanked.

Not too sure about the DATA share, but NETLOGON is a special share used by Net Logon service on NT or Win2k Server.

Hmm... I think it has something to do with a backup. I found a folder in that share thats called MISSQL which has a subfolder called DATA and then a subfolder under that called MISSQL and then under that one is DATA and that repeats 1 more time...
