 Error while running backup

Hi,

Im getting the following error while taking the backup using DB maintainance. DB size is around 700GB. Version is also given.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.4273.00 (Intel X86)
Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 5.2 (Build 3790: Service Pack 2)

BACKUP failed to complete the command BACKUP DATABASE AAAAAAAAA. Check the backup application log for detailed messages.
Error: 18210, Severity: 16, State: 1.
BackupVirtualDeviceFile::RequestDurableMedia: Flush failure on backup device 'VDI_DF017758-81E0-4923-B1E7-6A639C3FC9CE_1'. Operating system error 995(error not found).

That's not a native SQL backup. Which 3rd party backup tool is that? Does said 3rd party backup tool write it's own log? If so, check that.

Hi Gail,

You are right. LiteSpeed is being used to take the back up. We checked the event viewer and found the following error before backup failure error.

BackupMedium::ReportIoError: write failure on backup device 'VDI_DF017758-81E0-4923-B1E7-6A639C3FC9CE_0'. Operating system error 1223(error not found).

I am not sure how to check LiteSpeed Logs apart from event viewer, can u pls guide me how to check LiteSpeed Log.
