Hi,
Could you please help me in finding out the DB size differences between today and lastday backup files size.

We usually restore the db from files available in the share directory on a daily basis and the files will be replaced with the new back up files everyday and in that case i should keep track of the size constantly. Is there any other approach to identify the differences.? Please advise.

Use the backup_size column of the msdb.dbo.backupset table.

You should check SQL Server Books Online for infomation on this table.
