I am using SQL 2008 and have mulitple queries for sorting a datagridview in a windows form, from a tableadapter bindingsource.

does anyone know how to find the name of the open datareader of the active tableadapter query?

The queries have intermittent contention - the system message is : 'the open dataeader needs to be closed before running the next query'.
