My sql2000 db is showing as 'single user mode'.

I right click properties and get an error 'database is in single user mode can not connect.

I use the alter database script in query analyzer and I get a message single user cannot be changed someone is already connected.

No one is connected that I know of.

Is there another way? Start and stop service?

I got this fixed - I had to stop the service and re-start. After restarting I was able to change properties back to multi user mode.

Thanks

USE MASTER
GO
ALTER DATABASE MyDatabaseName SET MULTI_USER WITH ROLLBACK IMMEDIATE
