Finally at the end of downloading and installing I get the following three errors:
Database Engine Services
SQL Services Replication
Management Tools- Basic
How do I get rid of the three errors?
It happens that digging down to a ridiculous name I found a copy of the System Configuration Report which claims I havent installed PowerShell. There are a number of versions of PowerShell. Which one works with SQL Server 2008 R2 Setup? I first downloaded .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2. Then I downloaded PowerShell 2.0. Maybe it was the wrong version to download. I did all this downloading with the check list on the screen saying PowerShell wasn't loaded. It lets me do the downloading and then gives me a chance to rerun the check list. I then ran the check list again and everything passed except for items that were not applicable. Now, when I see the report I find PowerShell hasn't been loaded. And, as a matter of fact it is not listed in the Add or Remove Programs under neither Change or Remove Programs nor Add/Remove Windows Components. In the log after each failure it says to see details below.I don't see any details which explain the failures.
