| Hi Experts,I dont have much experience on SQL Server 2008 clusters. I have to apply CU9 on our production server, SQL Server 2008 Active/passive cluster on windows 2003 server. I read some articles and blogs. Many people saying, In 2008 we need to update passive node first and then switch the cluster and update on the other node. This is to reduce downtime.I have enough time in my window so I am OK with Downtime. Is there anyway to update on the active node directly? Will it automatically update on passive node? Before starting do we need to stop any sqlserver services?Can anyone let me know the steps to apply CU9? Please help me.Thank you in advance. |
