Have a look on google. It will use the sql server backup but probably has it's own backup. May stream to it's own backup device rather than to a disk file directly so that it can compress and write to it's own file format (perhaps on tape).
Make sure ou test that it is restorable and retest periodically and whenever there is a change to sql server, the product or the network.
Using 3rd party products for backup always comes with a big admin and risk overhead so they need to be worth it.
