Do you know what a dimension is?
Or maybe - what is a dimension (or maybe this dimesnion) in your system?

To answer our first question - you already have a degenerate dimension so you don't need to do anything.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.
